OE install problem after latest Win10 update/upgrade - dtietens - 10-18-2017

Hi,
After the latest Win10 Pro 64 bit update/upgrade I cannot re-install OE.
After inserting the activation key the following appears as in image and the further installation stops.
Looking for help.

hi, can you please tell me your windows version?

go to Start > Settings > System > About. There is a line with "Version".

Is it 1709 or 1703?

I was having trouble with the old version trying to re-install.  After seeing this message I went for the new one and it installed right away!

Hi
After the last Win 10 update I´m trying to download the las RunasXp v2.2.0 version.
My Symantec antivirus detects the downloaded .exe file and erases it.
He calls it "Not safe" ,WS.Reputation.1
I tried to intall the former version and I get the same error message as Dirk.

Hello,
this is a knows issue with symantec and has been discussed many times on forum.
Please add msimn.exe file (located on oe installation folder) to symantec exceptions and restore it fro quarantine.
This is a false positive alert, happens because norton detects modified the file msimn.exe (it is modified to run on newer windows)
